Lesson Plans for Sept 24-27th

Notes:

  1. Projects from the State Fair must be out by Friday
  2. Students must have Agriscience Topics in by Tuesday
  3. AET on Wednesday- Students must have summer hours/activities available.

1st Hour- Agriculture Business

  • Monday:
    • Students will figure out where their business will be located. They will research different areas of the United States.
  • Tuesday:
    • Students will find actual property for sale. The property must work for their business
  • Wednesday:
    • AET Day
  • Thursday:
    • Work on Shop Safety for Welding
  • Friday:
    • Introduce the MIG Welder

2nd Hour- Horticulture

  • Monday:
    • 5 Flower ID- List comes from the Floriculture CDE
    • Students will go for a walk to look at different landscaping around the city of Rolla
    • Discuss the likes and dislikes of each yard
  • Tuesday:
    • Start on Landscape Design PowerPoint
  • Wednesday:
    • AET Day
  • Thursday:
    • Safety for the shop
  • Friday:
    • Floral ID Test
    • FFA Meeting

3rd Hour- Introduction to Agriculture

  • Monday:
    • Careers in Agriculture
  • Tuesday:
    • Careers in Agriculture
  • Wednesday:
    • AET Day
  • Thursday:
    • Safety in the shop

4th Hour- Prep

  • No Students

5th Hour- Agriculture Processing

  • Monday: Students will start on Renewable Fuels
  • Tuesday: Continue with Renewable Fuels lesson
    • Students need to break up into groups

6th Hour- Exploring Agriculture

    • Beef Breeds- Flash Cards

7th Hour- Livestock Production

    • Beef Industry
    • Possible questions to ask a beef farmer

8th Hour- Bulldog Period
