Lesson Plans for November 20th- 22nd

Reminders:
  • There is no School on Thursday and Friday
  • The Fall Sales items will be deliver this Week
  • We will be building 2 benches for the City

1st Hour- Ag Business/Welding
2nd Hour- Horticulture
3rd Hour- Introduction to Agriculture
4th Hour- Foundations of Agriculture
6th Hour- Ag Mech Tech II
  • Monday thru Wednesday
    • The students will be building two benches for the City of Rolla that need to be completed by December 2nd.  
    • The students will be building something similar to the picture below.

5th Hour- 7th Grade Agriculture:
  • Monday:
    • The students will finish dry brush painting their project.  They will use black and white.  They must complete by the end of the day.
  • Tuesday:
    • Students will learn a short floriculture lesson on corsage making for snowman project.
  • Wednesday:
    • Finish up Snowman project
7th Hour- Prep
  • No Students
8th Hour- Bulldog Period
  • Students are to work on homework.

  • Monday:
    • The students will work on their Agriscience Project
  • Tuesday and Thursday:
    • The students will work on their Plasma Cut Sign
  • Wednesday:
    • Current Event Day- Students bring an article related to agriculture
    • Continue with Start up Plan
  • Friday:
    • Start up Plan (Finish it up??)
2nd Hour (Horticulture)
  • Monday:
    • Work on Agriscience Project
  • Tuesday and Thursday:
    • The students will work on their planter boxes
  • Wednesday:
    • Current Event Day
    • Greenhouse set up

    • Start on Greenhouse Unit
3rd Hour (Introduction to Agriculture)

    • If they work on Monday, they can work in the shop on Tuesday

    • The students must have their Patio Block Complete
    • Students also take a concrete test on their own time

SDSU Jackrabbits pulled off a nice VICTORY over NDSU, so Mr. Fritz will be in a great mood!!




Reminders:
  • There is no school on Friday
1st Hour (Ag Business/Welding):
  • Monday:
    • The students will start on AET.  They will have to have it all set up by Thursday
  • Tuesday and Thursday:
    • Shop Day- Students will have to have their signs cut out by the plasma cutter.  Once their sign is cut out, the students can cut and stain their background for the sign.
  • Wednesday:
    • The students will work on their Ag Business Start-up Business Plan PowerPoint
2nd Hour (Horticulture):
  • Monday:
    • This day will be spent working on Agriscience experiment.
  • Tuesday:
    • The students will start on their AET
  • Wednesday and Thursday:
    • Students will be paired up to work on a barn wood planter.  The following will be built.






















3rd Hour (Introduction to Agriculture):

    • Students need an agriculture related photo

6th Hour (Ag Mech Tech):

    • The students that can take their Patio Block our of the form, must have it done by Thursday.
    • Students will be responsible for coming in on their own time to take a concrete test.

Hydro Dip Painting Method


Hydro Dip Painting Method




Materials: 
  • Spray Paint (2 or more colors) (You use more paint then you think) 
  • Tub  (Large enough to dip the whole project at one time) 
  • Water 
  • Sandpaper 
  • Project to dip 
  • Polyurethane 
  • Latex gloves 

Steps: 
  1. Sand the project 
  1. Use 80 grit to remove any old finish and dirt, if project is older project 
  1. Use 180 grit to smooth the project 
  1. Clean the project 
  1. Fill tub with water 
  1. Enough water to dip the entire project 
  1. Spray the paint on top of the water 
  1. Rotate the colors 
  1. Once done spraying, swirl the colors to create a pattern with stick) 
  1. Dip the project (put on latex gloves) 
  1. Dip entirely into the tub slowly 
  1. Hold for a few second 
  1. Pull out 
  1. Let drip for a minute 
  1. Place somewhere to dry 
  1. Spray polyurethane to protect.
